Convert WebP images to JPG free — in your browser, no upload, no account.
or drag and drop a .webp file here
WebP is Google's modern image format — efficient and high quality. But not every app, editor, or email client handles it. Older versions of Photoshop don't open WebP without a plugin. Some email clients won't display WebP images inline. If you need to share an image and aren't sure the recipient's software supports WebP, JPG is the universally safe choice.
At 90%+ JPEG quality, the converted file looks identical to the WebP original for photographs. The only difference you might notice: the JPG file will be somewhat larger than the WebP because JPEG is a less efficient format at the same quality level. That's the tradeoff for universal compatibility.
This tool uses 92% JPEG quality by default. You can adjust the quality slider before converting — higher quality means a larger file, lower means a smaller file with some visible quality reduction.
Conversion happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API — the same technology your browser uses to render graphics. Nothing is sent to a server. Your WebP file is loaded into the browser, drawn onto a canvas, and exported as JPEG data — all locally. After you close the page, nothing persists.
If you also need to reduce the file size of your converted JPG, use our main image compressor to compress to any target size in KB or MB.
